Carl Jacobs Clinches Endorsement of National Organization, ‘Run for Something’

Anchorage, Alaska – Carl Jacobs is thrilled to announce the endorsement of his re-election campaign for Anchorage School Board by ‘Run for Something,’ a national organization that supports young progressive candidates in local elections.

Since being elected in 2021, Carl Jacobs has emerged as a forceful proponent for Board transparency, prioritizing student voices, and consistently supporting the families of the Anchorage School District (ASD). His advocacy includes a deep commitment to community engagement and the implementation of Board policies that prioritize mental health, ensure efficient labor-management agreements, and maintain the highest standards for educational support and facilities.

Today’s endorsement comes as a recognition of Jacobs’ continuous efforts to strengthen the Anchorage community through his role on the school board. Known for driving initiatives that directly involve students and parents in decision-making processes, Jacobs ensures that their voices are not just heard but a crucial part of shaping educational policies.

“I am honored to receive ‘Run for Something’s’ endorsement. It resonates deeply with our campaign’s core value of being ‘Your Voice for a Positive Change,'” said Carl Jacobs. “This endorsement is a nod to our commitment to transparency, empowering student voices, and supporting ASD families. It energizes us to keep pushing for the positive changes we want to see reflected in our schools and our community.”

As he seeks re-election, Jacobs is steadfast in his commitment to improving Anchorage city schools. His focus includes expanding programs for independent, living skills and career and technical education. Recognizing the importance of collaboration, he continues to work with local, state, and federal stakeholders to secure the resources needed for ASD to succeed and to adequately compensate the hardworking Alaskans who shape our children’s future.

Run for Something’s endorsement highlights Jacobs’ effective leadership and dedication to positively impacting education and community development. It is a testament to his deep commitment to public education and ASD students, families, and staff.
